Care instructions
Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.
While the body of your personalised, small duffle bag is made with a bubble textured Nappa, the functional details and accents are made from smooth Nappa in black. This includes the handles, side strip detailing, zip tabs, D-ring tabs, and piping around the edges. This creates a cohesive look and feel to the entire bag, no matter which photos and designs you end up using. The shoulder strap is detachable and can be adjusted from 93cm to 147.5cm. This strap is made from a strong webbing material in black.
Your custom barrel bags are handmade to order in our studio by a team of experts. Once we receive the designs for your personalised small duffle bag, the leather is carefully printed with your photos. Then our team of leatherworkers will cut, shape, and stitch your bag from scratch. Each piece of leather will be stitched together one by one. We finish it off with black Suede Vision lining and polishing the metals to make sure it is completed to a high standard. Once we are happy and know that you will be too, we will send your bag out for delivery.
You can design 4 areas of the custom barrel bags with your favourite art, patterns, or photos. This includes the front, back and both side panels of your bag. You have the option to customise the hardware with either gunmetal, nickel, or gold and choose between cream, grey, or charcoal for the stitching. Both handles, tabs, side strips, D ring tabs at the sides, piping and both zip pullers will always be made from smooth black Nappa leather. Your personalised barrel bag will also have a strip of black Nappa leather down the middle of the side panels. These details create an interesting contrast for balance and symmetry.
Due to the curved shape of the bag, some details will be lost when it reaches the bottom of the bag. We recommend choosing a photo where more of your favourite details can be seen at the top.
